Fruit for breakfast

One of my good friends that currently lives in the San Fran area commented on my grammar. Being a teacher I understand, but I am history teacher. I am more worried about content than errors. So if this offends you or has you screaming at your computer screen I am terribly sorry. I will work to get better, but there are no promises. Spelling will be acceptable.

I woke up this morning on a rainy day in central Texas. If you live in central Texas you know how weird of a statement that is for this time of year. My two sons sat down for breakfast and had cereal, peaches, and blueberries. I went a different route, but mainly the same.  I chose to have on over medium egg with no salt or pepper, yogurt with blueberries, and grapes. This whole idea is changing my ideas about where to eat certain things. Then a small thought hit me, why not eat fruits in the morning and lunch and enjoy the vegetables for lunch, snacks, and dinner. It seems like a good plan, next to capitalize on this philosophy.

Trying to eat better for a change has not happened overnight. I still have my twinges of wanting to eat horribly, but I can tell my mind is turning over a new leaf because I am enjoying eating more fruits and veggies on a regular basis. The main goal I am going to have to overcome is replacing my meat intake. Instead of having meat every meal, shifting down to maybe once a day and then go from there. Once I have that down it will feel like there is more control in my attitude with food.

So in conclusion, nothing funny happened, but I did get to have my first ever movie night with my family and it was great. We popped some popcorn, Newman’s Own, and watched us some Happy Feet on blu ray. All in all the start of week has gone well. Running this morning and some swimming with my boys this afternoon will help with the exercise. Now I just have to motivate myself to finish the packing that will be involved with moving back to B’ham and waiting for my sister to have her baby.

    Sounds like a good plan.
I would ask – was it microwave popcorn?
